Twin Bedded Room 1

The moment you enter the hallway you can sense that this is a building that has been well maintained and refurbished to a very high standard.

All the visitor accommodation and bedrooms are upstairs, the dining room / sitting room on the first level and the bedrooms on the second.

Twin Bedded Room 2

We have three en-suite bedrooms all individually decorated and furnished with quality furniture and fittings. You can be assured of a good nights sleep.

The two twin bedded rooms are particularly bright with windows that are south facing looking out over the High Street to the Eildon Hills behind. Through side windows views onto the High Street and right towards the famous Greenyards offer these rooms an interesting outlook. The en-suite bathrooms with shower cabinet are very well appointed, the charm of the rooms and facilities is the individual nature of each of the guest bedrooms.

Double Bedded Room

The Old Bank House B&B has one double bedded room. This like the rest has recently been refurbished and equipped with quality furniture and fittings. The window from this room gives open views over Buccleuch Street to the Gattonside hills on the north side of the River Tweed. In the foreground are the playing fields of St Mary’s School and to the right there is a great view of Melrose Abbey.

Hospitality Tray

In each room there is a hospitality tray providing the guest with tea and coffee at any time of day. There is a colour television and easy chairs to relax into. Enjoy the varied and fine pictures that adorn the walls, each room having a style of its own.

Sitting Area

In the large dining room, that was once the bank managers office (in the days when the Bank Manager was one of the most respected persons in the community) there is also the chance to sit down and relax in comfortable settees. This room has also some fine decorations some of an oriental style. With large bay window this is a bright room with views out over the centre of Melrose.

Dining Room

In the morning after a comfortable nights sleep the guest is treated to a traditional Scottish Breakfast in the surrounds of the large dining room. Seated at the large table the guest will feel pampered and well fed before setting out for a day in the attractive Scottish Borders.
